Jean Durham knows a thing or two about successfully navigating life transitions. Her personal tenacity, adaptability, organizational wizardry, and positivity have helped her parlay her long tenure and deep expertise in marketing and sales into a triumphant second act in real estate, where she has earned many accolades and been a consistent advocate for her clients.
After becoming a young widow with grown children in 2012, Jean decided to follow her dreams, sold the family home in Texas, and investigated numerous relocation options before discovering and setting down roots in Greenville. She achieved the highest level of real estate licensure in both North and South Carolina, with the ultimate goal of assisting others through life changes. As a result, she has developed a unique style that incorporates concierge-level service and an unwavering focus on her clients’ best interests, coupled with seasoned negotiation skills and a steadfast positive slant that her clients value immensely.
Having earned both the Sellers Representative Specialist and Luxury Specialist designations, Jean is a marketing strategist at heart. She’s handled complex transactions like 1031 exchanges and completed extra training in representing senior clients and is a self-professed techie, extremely comfortable with leveraging advanced technology to make the sales process easier, more effective, and more efficient.
On the purchase-side, Jean specializes in helping people find their dream homes, however they define them. Her strong track record of buying and selling estate, executive, and lifestyle homes paired with her love of nature have made her an expert on lake living, with ties to the Lake Robinson/Travelers Rest area in particular, where she currently resides and enjoys music, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her current husband.
Her community involvement includes membership in the Travelers Rest Garden Club, serving as a docent at the historic Kilgore Lewis House, donating blood for NICU patients, helping with Habitat for Humanity and Rebuild Upstate construction projects, and her biggest passion: working with a group of friends to raise funds throughout the year and then shop and package gifts for underprivileged children as part of the Salvation Army Angel Tree Project.
Jean was born in suburban Chicago and raised in Dallas. She began her college adventures with by earning a full-tuition piano scholarship but quickly switched gears when she discovered her passion for business and marketing.
